Rhinebeck Panorama

The Rhinebeck Panorama provides a birds-eye view of London, seen from the east. Although dated to between 1806 and 1811, the crowded shipping scene in the Upper Pool of London is essentially that of the late 1790s, before the opening of the enclosed docks. The original is a 2.5 metre long watercolour in four sections, and was the work of 3 different artists. One provided the main features. The second drew the vessels and a third heightened the church towers and steeples.

Contains four colour sheets plus three sheets of introductory notes by Ralph Hyde, and keys by Peter Jackson.
