An intricate brooch studded with green cabochons and faceted white crystals, set in a gold plated pewter base. The Salamander is a creature shrouded in mysticism, said to have an affinity with fire.
This design is inspired by the Cheapside Hoard. The largest hoard of Elizabethan and Jacobean jewellery ever found, it lay undisturbed for almost 300 years until discovered in 1912.
Measures approx. 5cm across.
